Selma & B invention

Aidez moi cover picBetween 2002 and 2008 I was trying to express myself in my own musical way in the four (or even five) languages I am faced with every day. I guess I just wanted to point out the good and bad sides of it. The song “Aidez-moi, j’ai un accent!” (translated as “Help, I have an accent!”) talks about this problem. I wrote it in a total panic, and was uneasy about it, fearing that people might not understand what I sing about because of my accent. In the same album I also interpret Luxembourgish and Bosnian poetry, setting to music the verses of, among others, René Kartheiser, Auguste Liesch, Paul Pütz, Aleksa Šantić, Hamza Humo…

For this second album I partly wrote texts by myself, and again I was with Selma Ćimić, who embellished all my songs with her beautiful voice. This CD marked the beginning of a new friendship and musical collaboration with Sergio Rodrigues. And this album, as well as the first one, was recorded partly in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Most of the recordings were done in Luxembourg, in studio “MUSIKAND”.
